Job Title: Technical Customer Support Specialist

Company Description

Yellowstone.ai is more of a family than a company. Our entrepreneurial team is willing to roll up our sleeves and do whatever it takes to make our customers happy and continually bring innovative products to market.

Our mission is simple: leverage cutting-edge technology to help our customers enjoy wildlife experiences. We do this by creating durable, reliable, and easy-to-use cellular trail cameras. We sold our first-generation cameras in 2020 and our continual drive for improvement helped us win the 2026 ATA award for Best New Technology!

Today we are one of the fastest-growing companies in the trail camera industry, fueled largely by word-of-mouth and strong customer relationships. Every camera is backed by award-winning U.S.-based support and a full lifetime warranty.

Our family business isn’t so small anymore. As we grow, our commitment to customer service never wavers and we’re looking for A-players to join our team. We aren’t looking for people who are just “looking for a job.” We demand that all employees share our passion for quality, honesty, great technology, and responsive customer service.

We’re looking for a true A-player to be the face of Yellowstone.ai — someone who loves helping customers, solving real tech problems, and growing with a fast-scaling company. This is not a basic call-center role. You’ll own customer support while helping shape processes and even influence product decisions.

This is a hybrid position — applicants must live within 100 miles of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Schedule

  • 30–40 hours per week

  • Afternoons and weekends required, with some flexibility

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer emails, messages, calls, and in-app requests with fast, friendly, expert help

  • Assist with pre-sales questions, order processing, shipping, and returns

  • Troubleshoot camera issues (connectivity, images, GPS, data plans, subscriptions)

  • Revisit and act on user data: review recent images from the past month with GPS locations, last-known locations, and current data-plan status

  • Handle in-app camera purchase requests (for MVP this simply generates an email to support for fulfillment)

  • Support general business operations (inventory, shipping, etc.)

  • Lead special projects and process improvements — your ideas will actually get implemented

Ideal Qualifications

  • 4+ years of tech troubleshooting experience or similar (or 4-year degree)

  • Strong written + verbal communication skills

  • Extreme patience with non-tech-savvy customers

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Knowledge of hunting, trail cameras, or outdoor tech is a big plus

  • Bonus: experience with cellular/data plans or subscription products

Why Join Yellowstone.ai

  • Small, entrepreneurial team where your work makes a real impact

  • Flexible and supportive work environment

  • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company

  • Competitive pay and benefits

Compensation and Perks

  • $15-30/hour or more depending on experience and qualifications

  • Free cell cameras

  • Company-paid gym membership

  • PTO and paid volunteer opportunities

  • And more

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

  • You enjoy helping people and solving problems

  • You’re the type of person who notices when something could work better and suggests improvements

  • You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and jumping into different tasks when needed

  • You communicate clearly and professionally with customers

  • You like being part of a small, supportive team where everyone helps each other out

  • You appreciate flexibility and are willing to occasionally swap or cover shifts for teammates
